Raja Ampat West Papua, Indonesia

Blue Green Expeditions will be running a new transition trip in Indonesia with muck diving, coral reefs and Big Fish! We will be onboard the luxurious Raja Ampat Aggressor cruising from one beautiful location to the next! This off the beaten path itinerary includes the best of “the Coral Triangle”, the richest coral reef ecosystem in the world that contains at least 500 species of reef-building corals and additional species of soft and encrusting corals all contributing to the vibrant, rainbow of colors in the region's crystal clear waters.

Derawan Islands

Derawan Islands East Kalimantan, Indonesia

Blue Green Expeditions is headed to the Derawan Islands onboard the Raja Aggressor! The islands are located off the eastern coast of Borneo in Indonesia in the Celebes Sea. They are part of the Coral Triangle and one of the most biodiverse places in the world. Derawan is an archipelago with the main islands being Derawan, Maratua, Kakaban and Sangalaki, forming small and remote atolls with sandy banks. The diving offers abundant marine life with a huge variety of coral reef dives, caves, walls, and lagoons, including a jellyfish lake visit. Guests will see sharks, schooling barracudas, mantas, whalesharks and macro life. Derawan also contains the largest green turtle nesting site in Indonesia, making dives with turtles quite common. To make this expedition even more spectacular we are coupling this adventure with an optional add-on to Lembeh - home to some of the best muck diving in the world! Come join us!!

Bergen, Norway – 2022

Bergen, Norway Bergen, Norway

Join Blue Green Expeditions for an exciting shore based expedition to Bergen, Norway. This can also be an add on trip prior to the Spitsbergen expedition! The beautiful and historic city of Bergen is often called "The gateway to the fjords". The rugged and beautiful archipelago to the west of the city offers great opportunities for divers. Here the famous Norwegian fjords meet the North Sea and the Atlantic Ocean, creating a varied underwater world with steep drop offs and canyons, amazing kelp forests, sandy coves and exiting reefs teeming with life. Bergen's history as Norway's most important port city has also resulted in a number of interesting ship wrecks in and around its shipping lanes. Some of the wrecks we can dive are the August Bolten, a German freight ship form WW2. Resting on shelves and caught in cracks are several pieces of war equipment including cannons, trailers, motorbikes and tank engines. Other wrecks include the Helene Jensen, the R56, the Siggen and the Oldenburg. The Oldenburg was built in 1914 and bombed and sunk during WW2. This beautiful steamship is very well preserved and a highlight of our trip. If that isn’t enough, we will be staying at the Panorama Hotel which offers unlimited shore diving at its house reef.
