The Sea of Cortez is always magical with massive schools of fish and incredibly healthy reefs. During this of year, huge schools of mobula rays can be found in the area as well as the orcas that are huntng them. The dance of the mobulas is an intense experience. Hundreds of mobula rays swimming alongside each other and leaping high in the air is an experience you will never forget. Then, out of the distant blue, orcas may appear! Our secret weapon to locate orcas is in using a spotter plane whenever weather allows. This trip will be mostly free diving, but some diving may be available to maximize your opportunities. The Sea of Cortez is also known for its incredible amount of schooling fish, hundreds of groupers, jacks, many species of sharks and plenty of sea lions!
