Our longer and custom itinerary gives us the time to explore more remote islands looking for unique animal behaviors and interactions. While this is not prime whale shark season, there are plenty of shark opportunities with hammerheads, Galapagos sharks, and white tips as well as seals, mola molas and many other big animals. Join Blue Green Expeditions for an exciting land excursion on the Galapagos Islands right after we dive them!! The Aqua has a special permit to do both diving and land excursions in Galapagos. Those who book the optional land tour with us will be able to stay on the boat following the diving portion and continue the land excursions for another 4 nights/5 days. This makes the logistics super easy and ensures your land tours will be with a nice small group. The Galapagos Islands are one of the most unique islands in the world and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The unique volcanic islands host a plethora of wildlife and fauna and were the inspiration for Charles Darwin’s Theory of Evolution. The animals on the Galapagos Islands are incredibly tame thanks to a lack of natural predators. You can expect to get up close and personal to many different species of animals and birds such as giant tortoises, sea lions, blue footed boobies, marine iguanas and many others.
