Cuba – February 2023

Cuba

Learn about Cuba’s unique marine environment during an Oceans for Youth Foundation People-to-People educational program. Citizens of the U.S. will fly into Havana where they will spend a full day meeting with scientists about Cuba’s marine parks. After two nights in Havana, transportation is provided to the southern town of Jucaro, where the Jardines Aggressor live aboard docks. Guests will depart for six days of scuba diving in the Gardens of the Queen (Jardines de la Reina) National Park, one of the oldest marine national parks in the world, located 60 miles off the southern coast. Biologists will host discussions and presentations covering many topics including: proper mooring procedures and installations, fish tagging, commercial fishing and other local environmental issues. Given governmental regulations contact Blue Green Expeditions directly to learn more and to register for this trip via [email protected].

Antarctica – Weddell Sea – Trip 1

Antarctica

Join Faith Ortins, from Blue Green Expeditions, and other polar diving specialists, on an amazing expedition to Antarctica! This time we are headed to the Weddell Sea! You can hardly get a better experience of Antarctica than a voyage to the great Weddell Sea. Be prepared to see massive tabular icebergs, wildly dramatic landscapes, and fascinating historical sites. Our journey will take place on the 200th anniversary of the discovery of the Weddell Sea! We are going to be doing the first recreational diving expedition into the inner part of Weddell Sea. Most of the diving will be in places no one has ever been before! As a special treat, Becky Schott from Liquid Productions will be onboard and will be teaching image making workshops.
