Minke Whales

Tasmania, Australia Hobart, Tasmania, Australia +1 more

The Great Barrier Reef is the place to snorkel with dwarf Minke whales, and Blue Green is going! Spanning up to 8 meters and weighing several tons, Minkes are one of the most majestic of aquatic creatures. They are incredibly inquisitive and will often linger in an area for several hours, allowing you to observe their beauty up close. Blue Green has chosen Argo for its spacious hosting for only 10 passengers. Of course there will be diving on the Great Barrier Reef, and an optional land tour to take in the best of Queensland and Sydney surrounds. Trip leader Nancy McGee will share her favorite Down Under places and experiences.

Iceland

Iceland , Iceland

Silfra, at the top of snorkelers’ & divers’ bucket-list! And add to that being in the path of totality for the 2026 total solar eclipse on August 12, this adventure is not to be missed. Iceland has it all, from unique dive sites to amazing scenery, we will hike, dive, explore, soak in hot springs, visit an active volcano, and enjoy the local culture. In Silfra, dive or snorkel between two continental plates in the purest water in the world with up to 100m visibility. We can even do a night dive in Silfra! This unique diving tour of Iceland combines dazzling underwater experiences and breathtaking land excursions, as well as being timed perfectly for the 2026 total solar eclipse. Our explorations will take us from the capital of Reykjavik to the Golden Circle tour, exploring some of Icelands most amazing waterfalls and geothermal areas. Our tour will include a Glacier hike, Black Beach, glacial lagoons, amazing waterfalls and pristine landscapes. As we approach the north, we will see geysers, look for trolls, and enjoy a spa visit. Dive a hydro thermal vent, see the chimney and photograph the incredible life attracted to this ocean oasis. Around Akureyi, dive a shipwreck and do some exploratory diving in the Fjord. On our way back to Reykjavik we will jump into a huge super truck which will drive us to the top of the glacier, over crevasses and moulins, and into a tunnel 120 feet under the glacier! This is an adventure for divers, snorkelers and land lovers!

Christmas Island

Christmas Island , Australia

Time to go WAY off the beaten path! This adventure takes you to two of the most remote and pristine islands in the world to experience their incredible reef systems and topography as well as the plentiful and unique marine life you would expect in the healthiest tropical reefs. The islands also have plenty to do for the non-diver with lush forests, pristine and uncrowded beaches. Christmas Island is also known for its unique red crab migration highlighted in BBC’s Blue Planet Series. We are timing our visit to experience this special opportunity AS WELL as dive and do all the other things you might like to do on a remote tropical island.

Emperor Penguins

Antarctica , Antarctica

Experience a bird’s-eye-view of Antarctica! Our helicopter capability on m/v Ortelius gives you the rare chance to see the famed emperor penguin rookery south of Snow Hill Island, numbering around 4,000 breeding pairs. Heavy ice may prevent entrance to this area from the Weddell Sea, and ice at the rookery itself might break up and start to melt earlier than expected. With this in mind, the aim is to stop the vessel between the Antarctic Sound and James Clark Ross Island, close to the ice edge, and find emperor penguins on their way to open water. The thrilling helicopter flights make this search possible, enabling you to land in locations otherwise inaccessible this early in the season. This is an incredible must-see event - come join us!!

Cuba

Cuba , Cuba

This marine protected area is the most beautiful spot in the Caribbean. Protected for over twenty years, it is a testament to the benefits of protecting our environment. With pristine reefs, lush coral and more grouper and sharks than you have ever seen in the region, there is something for everyone. We will be on the Jardines Aggressor II in the central section of the island archipelago for 7 days with an optional 3 nights in Havana.

Oman

Oman , Oman

Oman offers pristine reefs, stunning deserts, rugged mountain landscapes, green oases, endless beaches and friendly people. The Arabian Sea and Gulf of Oman provide large coral reefs in the deep fjords of Musandam (Gulf of Oman), at Daymaniyat Islands off the coast of Muscat and Hallaniyat Islands off the coast of Mirbat in southern Oman (Arabian Sea) as well as untouched and recently discovered reefs and wrecks. Fishiest place we have ever seen!
